Update

Committeeman Mary Sears & Dave Agema?

Since the last posting I have been informed that our friend, Mary Sears, also known as Delta Burke is throwing her hat in the ring for Republican National Committeewoman position vacated by Terri Land.

Could the MIGOP really be so foolish as to elect a female Dave Agema? We will soon find out...

Is Schoolcraft GOP Trying to Solicit Money from Agema PAC?

In a post on the Schoolcraft GOP website, Delta Burke look-alike with a thoroughly Canadian accent, Mary Sears, posted an article in which she decried gays "preying on children". Sears is a member of the Houghton GOP and the 1st District Republican Committee, Vice Chair. (Likely won the position because there were 3 women from the UP attending the convention and she is the only one that wanted it).

Sears didn't use the typical Dave Agema/Gary Glenn logic by implying they molest children. She instead implied that gays have to convert other people to become gay, so that they can have larger numbers.

I've got news for you Delta, you create gays and everyone else in existence for that matter. Not us. We aren't much into the procreation business. Most of your bigot friends argue it is the result of surroundings; a perversion. Never have I heard the argument that gays become gay because someone recruited them.

We can only assume that the Schoolcraft GOP is inept or that they are seeking a $500 check from the Agema, "TOP LOSER" PAC.

Tom McMillin Returned Agema Donation and So Should Gary Glenn

From MIRS News:
All four are running for the House and face Republican primary races this year. A fifth candidate -- Rep. Tom MCMILLIN (R-Rochester Hills), who's running for the Senate -- received a contribution from Top Gun Conservatives, but on the campaign finance report, the $500 contribution was marked "returned." McMillin didn't respond to a request for comment about the Dec. 27 contribution today.

Dave Agema Wraps Himself In the Flag, Plays Victim

Dave Agema has responded to calls for his resignation by posting a Youtube.com video where he wraps himself in the flag to justify his lies and obscene comments.
His main point is that people using their freedom of speech to respond to his outright bigotry some how infringes on his constitutional rights. This would be true if the government was seeking to fine or imprison him. This is not the case.
He was also elected to the Republican National Committee, which has a unique set of duties of which he cannot effectively perform now that he has totally marginalized himself. If he wants to travel around the state giving his commentary on science (of which he is not qualified) or theology which is often incendiary, he should do so as a citizen Agema, not as a Representative of a group which finds many of his comments embarrassing and repugnant.
Warning: The video is creepy and reminds some of a low budget National Socialist video created in the basement of the local skinhead.

Other Known Bigots Supporting Gary Glenn

Bill & Michelle Voorheis of Clio both gave $350 to Gary Glenn's campaign.
http://miboecfr.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/cfr/contrib_anls_res.cgi?doc_seq_no%3D379064%26doc_stmnt_year%3D2014%26com_id%3D516408%26doc_date_proc%3D++++++++++%26sched%3D1A%26doc_type_code%3DP1%26caller%3Dcf_online

Michelle served on the 5th District Republican Congressional Committee for years, where she unsuccessfully tried to remove me a number of times because I am gay. She took issue with everyone that was not a fundamentalist protestant with a special emphasis on purging gays.

Bill Voorheis who was Bush's 2004 Michigan Social Conservative (Chair or Co Chair, I don't recall exactly) is notorious for cornering people who are rumored to be gay at political functions and confronting them about it. During the 2004 Presidential election Bill attended a gala with Ken Mehlman (now openly gay) former RNC Chair and tried to confront him about his sins. It is said that staffers had to divert him from harassing him. Bill did this to me also at the Mackinac Conference where I had to remind him there would by physical repercussions if he didn't get his hands off of me.

Ironically enough during this period their daughter was operating a pornographic blog including a picture of herself naked, dressed like a zombie with little pieces of electrical tape on her nipples.

How does that quote in the Bible about a speck in someones eye go again?

Gary Glenn Candidate for 98th District State House Will Not Comment on Agema

For once in his life, Gary Glenn has an opportunity to insult gays and lesbians or defend a bigot and he is choosing to remain silent.

But after some controversial comments by Agema, the Bay City-based Michigan Log Cabin Republicans, which bills itself as the largest group of gay and lesbian conservatives, libertarians and Republicans in Michigan, is calling on Glenn to disavow Agema's remarks about gays and Muslims.
Glenn, who declined to comment in response to the Log Cabin Republicans, is a Larkin Township resident and president of the American Family Association of Michigan, a conservative religious organization that opposes what it calls the "homosexual agenda."
In a press release, Michigan Log Cabin Republicans Chairman Joe Sylvester points to a recent GOP event in Berrien County, when Agema reportedly said that gays were in favor of universal health care because they were dying young of AIDS.
"If Gary Glenn was not running for the state House, he would be all over this issue," Sylvester said. "Wherever homophobia rears its ugly head, he is there to defend it. Voters want to know if Glenn is elected, will he support this kind of vitriolic bigotry."
Sylvester called on Glenn to join other prominent Republican leaders including Congressmen Justin Amash and Fred Upton, Speaker of the House Jase Bolger, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville and former Republican Chairwoman Betsy DeVos in denouncing Agema's remarks.
